HappyJobs (“we”, “us”) helps blue-collar workers in Odisha build a verified skills profile, discover jobs, and access PF/ESI assistance. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. We follow the principles of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
Information we collect
- Identity & contact: name, mobile number, district, gender, date of birth.
- Skills & work history: trade, experience, certificates, wage and shift preferences - including what you tell our Sahayak assistant on WhatsApp.
- Documents (KYC): Aadhaar, PAN, bank passbook and similar, where you choose to provide them for verification.
- Usage: messages exchanged with our WhatsApp assistant and basic technical logs needed to operate the service.
How we use it
- To build your worker profile and match you with relevant jobs.
- To send you job alerts, interview reminders and service updates on WhatsApp/SMS.
- To help with PF/ESI enrolment and grievances.
- To verify identity and prevent fraud or duplicate records.
We rely on your consent, captured at enrolment, and you may withdraw it at any time.
How we protect it
Your Aadhaar number is encrypted and stored separately; it is never shared with employers. Access is restricted to authorised coordinators. KYC documents are retained only as long as required (up to 7 years for statutory compliance) and then purged. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share only the minimum necessary with employers (e.g. name, trade, district, verification status) when you apply or are shortlisted for a job, and with government systems for PF/ESI where you request that assistance. We use Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform to deliver messages you have opted in to receive.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by messaging the HappyJobs assistant or contacting us below. Deleting your profile removes it from job matching while we retain the minimum records the law requires.
